​For each painting project, our team develops a comprehensive, written specification that outlines scope of work, application procedures, coating schedule and product selection (including manufacturers’ standards/warranty).
We are especially proud of the quality of our application techniques. Nearly all of our work is done by hand (brush and roller) to ensure maximum film thickness and a uniform finish. Materials are guaranteed for up to ten years and labor up to five.
Waterproofing
Regardless of structure type, the development of waterproofing solutions requires careful evaluation of factors such as useful life, constructability, environment, aesthetics, and cost. With decades of experience, and extensive in-house skilled trades training, our moisture control specialists understand the subtle nuances of waterproofing technologies and create unique, personalized solutions for our clients.​
We solve moisture problems. We emphasize leak detection and recommend remediation with waterproofing systems like polyurethane deck membranes, cementitious waterproofing and an array of expansion joint systems. We perform above- and below-grade waterproofing on exteriors, and we provide waterproof solutions for interiors.​
Whether it's a challenging moisture intrusion problem on a building envelope or more straightforward waterproofing of concrete infrastructure, we establish stringent technical guidelines and project-specific quality control processes for every waterproofing solution we develop.
Caulking + Sealants
Caulking seals the building envelope, reducing the flow of air and moisture, and protecting internal wall components from the risks of mold growth and structural damage.​
Structures are designed with expansion joints that expand and contract with varying temperatures. Caulking sealant is elastic so it can repeatedly stretch and compress, maintaining a watertight seal.
WSI has extensive experience in the application of all types of caulking systems, including those for facades, garage decks, and even airport runways. We have more than 10 years of experience in joint sealant replacement including replacement of control joints, wet glazing of windows, and caulking of dissimilar materials.​ We also specialize in interior sealants, including those used as fire barriers.​
When sealant fails, it must be replaced. Caulking replacement is a cost-effective preventive maintenance item that helps prevent serious structural issues from developing.
